BRIGHT, BOLD. ONE OF A KIND
ShiboriLove creates one of a kind hand dyed legwear and accessories for babies, girls and women. Each piece is dyed by hand embracing the serendipity of the artistic process.
Our unique designs pair a love for fashion with the individuality of wearable art.
ShiboriLove.com was launched in 2008 by Jessie Fair, a recent graduate of Cornell University's Fiber Science & Apparel Design program. See more of Jessie's portfolio at jessiefair.com
PROCESS
The name ShiboriLove comes from Shibori, the Japanese
resist-dyeing technique used to create our unique patterns.
Shibori is an art in which flat cloth is manipulated into a
three-dimensional surface through folding, pleating
or bunching. When the fabric is dyed the tightly bound areas resist the dye and are not colored. When the binding materials are removed they reveal the intricate abstract patterns formed
by the protected areas.
